Wall Street closes mixed as 10-year yield tops 5 percent and the Dow logs worst week since March
Wall Street ended Friday's session mixed, with the S&P 500 up 0.17 percent to 7,650.50 and the Nasdaq Composite up 0.39 percent to 26,522.54 while the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.18 percent to 51,682.64. The benchmark 10-year Treasury yield closed at 4.998 percent after touching 5 percent intraday, with Reuters attributing the move to bets that oil near $100 a barrel could fuel inflation. The Dow's 1.69 percent weekly slide was its third straight weekly decline and worst since March.
