Brent tops $107 after attack on a Saudi Aramco building
Crude rose on 14 October after an administrative building belonging to Saudi Arabia’s state oil company Saudi Aramco in Dhahran was attacked, triggering a limited fire, the energy ministry said. Brent futures gained $1.40, or 1.35 percent, to $107.35 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate added $1.24, or 1.32 percent, to $95.38. Traders weighed Middle East supply risk against expectations of higher Russian diesel supply. Goldman Sachs has sketched a $120 scenario if attacks on shipping escalate.
