Wall Street closes its record-setting week with broad gains
US stocks finished a volatile week higher, with the S&P 500 up 0.59 per cent to 7,811.54, the Dow Jones Industrial Average adding 0.83 per cent to 51,654.95 and the Nasdaq Composite gaining 0.64 per cent to 27,366.17. The S&P 500 rose about 1.15 per cent over the week. The rebound followed a Thursday selloff sparked by a report on OpenAI's revenue and came as the 10-year Treasury yield hovered near a 24-year high. Investors now look to September CPI and the start of bank earnings next week.
