USMNT sign off with a 1-0 win over Canada and a four-game sweep
The United States closed its September-October window with a 1-0 win over Canada in St Paul, Minnesota, on October 6, a first-half goal from 19-year-old striker Justin Ellis deciding it. The result gave Mauricio Pochettino's side four wins from four, including a 3-0 defeat of Mexico and a 4-2 win over Chile. Canada struggled to convert possession. The sides meet again in Concacaf Nations League play later in the year.
