Ronaldo walks out of Portugal's camp before the Denmark match
Cristiano Ronaldo left Portugal's Nations League training camp in Copenhagen on Wednesday night, hours after coach Jorge Jesus said the 41-year-old would not start Thursday's Group A4 match against Denmark. In a statement on Instagram, Ronaldo said he had spoken with the president of the Portuguese football federation and would explain his reasons in time, without announcing any retirement. He was an unused substitute in Portugal's 2-1 win in Norway on Sunday and had not trained with the squad since. Jesus rejected talk of a rift, saying there had been no incident.
