GMKtec unveils EVO-X5 Pro desktop AI supercomputer at IFA with AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495
GMKtec used IFA 2026 in Berlin on Friday to launch the EVO-X5 Pro, a compact desktop built around AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 with 16 Zen 5 cores, up to 192 GB of unified LPDDR5X memory and an XDNA 2 NPU delivering up to 55 TOPS. The company said the system is the first desktop capable of running a 300-billion-parameter large language model fully offline, winning PCWELT's Best of IFA 2026 and SmartZone's Best of IFA 2026 Innovation Award. AMD client-business vice president Michael Nordquist appeared on stage; GMKtec will release the EVO-X5 Pro on September 28.
