Brighton hand Arsenal first defeat of the season with 3-0 win that puts Manchester City top
Brighton ended Arsenal's nine-match Premier League winning run with a 3-0 victory at the Amex Stadium on Saturday, with Pascal Gross curling in the opener on 31 minutes before Charalampos Kostoulas added a long-range second seconds before half-time and Chema Andres headed in a Gross corner nine minutes after the break. The result lifted Brighton provisionally to third on 10 points while Arsenal stayed on 12 and lost the top spot to Manchester City on goal difference. Goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen denied Saka and Havertz in one-on-ones to keep a clean sheet.
