Brent crude jumps 3% toward $108 as Iran–Gulf Hormuz meeting in Oman is postponed at request of regional states

Brent crude gained about 3% to trade near $108 a barrel in early Asia on 14 September while WTI climbed roughly 2.8% to around $99.33, after Iran and Oman's planned Muscat meeting on a possible Strait of Hormuz shipping corridor was postponed 'in the interests of consensus'. Iran's Fars news agency said the delay was a joint Tehran-Muscat decision; Omani foreign minister Badr Albusaidi confirmed the deferral on X, and Bahrain said it would not attend. The US was never expected to participate, with officials preferring talks focused on Iran's nuclear programme.
