Modi sets 2035 target for India's first space station as BRICS summit opens in New Delhi
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi used a national address on Friday to commit to putting India's first space station in orbit by 2035, ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping's first visit to India in seven years for the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam on September 12-13. The announcement sits alongside India's hosting of more than 20 partner countries at the two-day leaders' meeting.
