Apple raises prices across older iPhone models by $100 after foldable launch
Apple has raised US prices of several older iPhone models still in its lineup by $100 following the September 9 'Surprise and Shine' event, breaking from its usual pattern of cutting prices on previous-generation devices. The iPhone 16 now starts at $799 (up from $699), the iPhone 17e is $699 (up from $599), and the standard iPhone 17 starts at $899, while the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max have been discontinued.
