Euro-area consumers trim near-term inflation expectations
The ECB's July survey put median inflation expectations at 2.9% for the next 12 months and 2.7% three years ahead, each down 0.1 percentage point from June. Five-year expectations were unchanged at 2.4%, while expected economic growth improved but remained negative.
