TSMC's quarterly revenue jumps 51% as leading-edge capacity stays booked out

TSMC said on 8 October that third-quarter revenue rose 51% year over year to NT$1.49tn, roughly $48.4bn, beating the NT$1.46tn analysts expected. September sales alone reached NT$511.86bn, up 54.6% on a year earlier and just shy of August's record month. The figures separate logic-chip demand from the memory squeeze: TSMC's most advanced nodes are reported heavily booked into 2028, with early 2-nanometre wafers priced near $30,000 and Nvidia holding roughly 60% of its CoWoS packaging capacity. Full quarterly detail follows on 15 October.
