Humana surges after 95% of members land top 2027 Medicare ratings
Humana shares jumped roughly 12 per cent on October 9 after the insurer said 95 per cent of its Medicare Advantage members will be enrolled in plans rated four stars or higher for 2027, up from about 20 per cent in 2026 and above analyst expectations. The star-ratings recovery is a sharp turnaround for Humana, whose quality scores had weighed on the business. Ratings above four stars affect bonus payments and the ability to market plans, making the shift a material swing in the company's outlook.
