Ronaldo says he is not retiring and wants to be punished for leaving Portugal camp
Cristiano Ronaldo said he is not retiring from international football but should be punished by the Portuguese federation for walking out of the national-team camp, accusing head coach Jorge Jesus of twice breaking his word. In a roughly 2,000-word statement, the 41-year-old said Jesus told him he would play 30 minutes against Norway but never used him, and that an agreed clarification was not delivered at a later press conference. Ronaldo apologised to teammates and fans, and said he would be available again after any suspension once fit and scoring for his club.
