Microsoft unveils Surface Laptop Ultra on Nvidia's RTX Spark at October 7 event
Microsoft used a San Francisco event to detail the Surface Laptop Ultra, its first notebook built on Nvidia's RTX Spark system-on-chip, a 3nm part pairing an Arm CPU with a Blackwell GPU and up to 128GB of unified memory. Microsoft claims up to 1 petaflop of AI compute, enough to run models with roughly 120 billion parameters locally, with full CUDA support. Reported pricing spans well above $2,000 for entry configurations to more than $7,000 at the top, with pre-orders opening October 7 and first shipments expected in mid-October.
