Creator PewDiePie launches Ajax, a local always-on AI model
YouTube creator Felix Kjellberg, known as PewDiePie, unveiled Ajax, a small language model built from Alibaba's Qwen3.5-9B and tuned to run locally as an always-on assistant for his self-hosted workspace. Kjellberg said OpenAI suspended his account twice during development, one email citing 'distillation'; OpenAI's terms bar using its outputs to train competing models. He said Ajax's refusal behaviour was reduced while limits on harmful requests remain. Weights and benchmarks were not yet published.
