Wall Street slips as long-dated Treasury yields reach two-decade highs

US equities started the week lower after a jump in long-dated bond yields pulled indexes further from record levels. The S&P 500 fell 0.8 percent, the Dow Jones Industrial Average 0.7 percent and the Nasdaq Composite 0.9 percent. Gold futures slid about 3.2 percent to roughly $4,184 an ounce as rising oil prices fed inflation worries and bets that the Federal Reserve will tighten again, keeping pressure on rate-sensitive technology shares.
