US current-account deficit widens to $246 billion in Q2

The U.S. current-account deficit widened to $246.0 billion in the second quarter from a revised $212.6 billion in the first, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Exports and income receipts rose, but imports and income payments increased more quickly, leaving the deficit at 3.0% of current-dollar GDP.
