Qualcomm raises chip prices more than 10% and ships its AI PC silicon on schedule for 20 September
Qualcomm has begun shipping its next-generation AI PC processors and lifted contract prices by more than 10% across the lineup, with the increase effective 20 September 2026. The hike reflects rising wafer costs at TSMC and partner foundries, plus increased on-package HBM and AI accelerator integration in the Snapdragon X-Elite 2 family. The move comes as Qualcomm prepares for its annual Snapdragon Summit starting 22 September, where it is expected to detail enterprise availability of its 8-core and 12-core AI PC parts.
