Jensen Huang rejects AI extinction warnings as "doomsday narratives" ahead of Trump's Xi state dinner
Nvidia co-founder and chief executive Jensen Huang told CBS News on Friday that he disagrees with recent warnings from AI researchers that the technology could lead to humanity's extinction within a few years, calling such statements overblown "doomsday narratives." Huang said predictions of doom are not grounded in science and that existing US laws on product liability and unauthorised entry are sufficient, echoing President Trump's view that the AI industry does not need additional guardrails. He will attend Trump's White House state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday.
