Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 add hypertension detection and a returning ceramic case
Apple is expected to use the September 9 keynote to refresh the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, with the S-class chip upgraded for the first time in years and a blood-pressure feature that detects trends rather than exact readings. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says Apple has tested white and dark gray ceramic case options for the Series 12, reviving a finish last offered on the Series 3 in 2017, and that the heart-rate sensor will collect data continuously. The Ultra 4 is positioned with deeper sensor upgrades, while the lack of an SE 4 keeps the lineup at three variants.
