European shares pin to one-month low as German 10-year Bund yield hits a 14-year high
European equities hovered near a one-month low on 2 September 2026, with the pan-European STOXX 600 flat at 647.87 after a Reuters early-session check, Germany's DAX down 0.2% and the FTSE 100 closing 0.3% lower at 10,756.45 as a spike in bond yields and a fresh round of US-Iran strikes reignited energy-inflation fears. The 10-year German Bund yield climbed to its highest since April 2011, the 10-year UK gilt yield touched 5.294% - the highest since August 2007 - and LSEG data put the odds of the ECB's deposit rate hitting 3% by March 2027 at about 40%.
