Bayern survive early Osnabrück scare as Kane brace seals 4-1 DFB-Pokal title defence
Harry Kane scored twice as holders Bayern Munich came from a goal down to beat second-division VfL Osnabrück 4-1 in the first round of the DFB-Pokal on 2 September 2026, with Tom Bischof, Michael Olise and Kane from the penalty spot completing the scoring after Robin Meibner had given the hosts an early lead. Vincent Kompany's side, who opened their Bundesliga account with a 5-1 win over Stuttgart, finished with an expected-goals total of 3.11 from 22 shots and next face Schalke in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
