Gladbach finally win to avoid a record nobody wants
Borussia Mönchengladbach ended a six-game losing start by winning 3-2 at VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga's matchday seven opener, averting the seventh straight defeat that would have been a league first. Ermedin Demirović volleyed Stuttgart ahead after five minutes, but Joe Scally's backheel, Shuto Machino's finish and a Wael Mohya header turned it around before Demirović's late second. Mohya, 17, was man of the match; Gladbach stay bottom on three points.
