Waymo adds Las Vegas airport to its robotaxi map
Waymo started carrying customers to and from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, using dedicated autonomous vehicle zones at Terminals 1 and 3. It is the sixth major airport on the company's map after Phoenix Sky Harbor, Nashville, San Antonio, San Francisco and San Jose, and rides will be limited to a few passengers at first before opening to all users. Waymo only began public rides in Las Vegas in September but already covers a 24-square-mile area. Amazon's Zoox also serves the airport, and Nevada regulators cleared Tesla and Uber robotaxi permits in August.
