Foden's hat-trick carries City past AEK with Haaland rested
Phil Foden scored three times as Manchester City beat AEK Athens 5-1 to get their league phase back on track after the defeat in Paris. Elliot Anderson's first City goal and a Rayan Cherki finish completed the scoring, with Stavros Pilios replying for the visitors just after half-time. Erling Haaland stayed on the bench, and City won in front of an announced 40,042 at the Etihad.
