Nvidia adds $2bn for Europe and $250m of compute for UK safety research
Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang used a European tour to announce a further $2 billion of investment across the continent, on top of roughly $8 billion spent there over the past year, and new minority stakes in French startups Doctolib, Genesis AI, Pigment and Entalpic. He paired that with a donation of $250 million of compute over five years to British work on AI-agent safety at Oxford, UCL and Imperial College London, and repeated his argument that open-weight models are how Europe closes its AI gap.
