Google Play opens a private lane for AI-built Android apps
Google began letting anyone with a standard Google account build an Android app in AI Studio and install it privately through Google Play, with no developer account required. The personal-builds lane opened on 13 October for users aged 18 and over in select markets including the United States. The apps stay out of search and public listings, live in a personal library tied to the creator's account, and must still follow Play policy; sharing with a small circle of friends is planned later.
