US jury orders Apple to pay $5.7 billion in haptics patent case
A US jury found Apple’s Taptic Engine infringed two patents held by San Diego company Taction and awarded more than $5.7 billion, according to Reuters. Apple said it would appeal, arguing that its haptic technology is fundamentally different from Taction’s system.
