Google launches expressive Gemini text-to-speech models
Google is rolling out Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS and Flash-Lite TTS for more expressive speech generation. The company positions Flash for detailed character direction and Flash-Lite for higher-volume production, with access beginning in Google AI Studio and the Gemini API and extending to products such as Google Vids.
