Ballon d'Or 2026 nominees to be announced on Tuesday, with the ceremony moving to London on 26 October for the award's 70th edition
France Football confirmed that the 30 nominees for the men's and women's Ballon d'Or will be unveiled on Tuesday 8 September, alongside shortlists for the Kopa, Yashin, Müller, coach and club awards. The ceremony itself will take place in London on Monday 26 October, the first time the event has left Paris and a deliberate choice to mark the 70th anniversary since Stanley Matthews lifted the inaugural award. Reigning holders Ousmane Dembélé and Aitana Bonmatí will defend their titles; voting opens days after the nominee announcement.
