Khosla-backed Genesis AI unveils GENE-26.5 foundation model and a robotics roadmap
Genesis AI, the Paris and California-based robotics startup that raised a USD 105 million seed round from Eclipse and Khosla Ventures in July 2025, unveiled its first foundation model GENE-26.5 on 5 September, featuring in-house-designed dexterous robotic hands. The company, with about 60 staff split roughly 45-55 percent between Europe and the United States, said a full-body general-purpose robot will follow later this year. Co-founder Théophile Gervet said the European footprint is deliberate, citing dense engineering talent.
