Z.ai releases GLM-5.3-Flash, says it runs entirely on Chinese chips
Z.ai released GLM-5.3-Flash, a low-cost variant of its flagship model that the company claims is served entirely on China-made semiconductors. The Hong Kong-listed shares climbed more than 8 percent in Thursday trade after the company said it used 100,000 domestic chips to handle all online requests, including the initial release under the codename Ox Alpha on Aug. 20.
